My name is Michaela & I'm the founder of Message Marketing Co.

With over four years of content creation experience and a background in journalism, I've worked with:

• Lifestyle magazines

• Small businesses

• Non-profits

• A travel agency

This included web design, SEO (search engine optimization), editing, social media management, and writing – plenty of writing. Writing stories is what got me into this business and, while I love words, I found that stories consist of so much more.

​

You have to be able to see the story in a jumble of words that someone excitedly tells you across their desk. You have to put that story into words that resonate. You have to insert the words into a design that draws in the eye. Finally, you have to get the story in front of people – published, or at the top of a Google search, or on a social media feed.

​

And before you do any of that, you have to make sure you have the right story... that sends the right message.

Every business tells a story that sends a message. Figuring out exactly what this message should be may be the hardest – and most crucial – part of marketing.

​

The right message has the power to earn trust, build loyal relationships, and grow enterprises in a way that can change the world.

​

I was genuinely surprised when, throughout many different conversations, I discovered that not everyone enjoys the process of marketing like I do. So, I saw a need – marketing for creative business owners who don't get excited about this aspect of running their business.

 

As a Jesus follower, I believe He has gifted me as a writer and creator (for His glory, not mine). After some opportunities mysteriously fell into place and others were mysteriously lost, I saw clear direction from the Lord to go out on a limb and use the gifts He's given me to create this marketing studio, trusting Him to either give me success or withhold it in His perfect wisdom. As for the purpose, I can only guess at this point.
